WHO "World Health Organization" priporočila

Priporočila WHO z datumom januar 2005 za primer pandemije ptičje gripe in priprav nanjo.(Link). Dokument govori o makro strategijah držav, pripravi zadostne zaloge Tamifluja ter o obnašanju posameznikov za primer pandemije. V zaključku dokument smiselno izpostavi tudi glavni namen te strani. Če bo kasneje čas, ga bom prevedel tudi v slovenščino.

"In summary, WHO considers the present risk of a pandemic great, but unpredictable in terms of its timing and severity. All conditions for the start of a pandemic have been met except one: changes in the virus that would make it contagious among humans, thus allowing easy and sustainable human-to-human transmission. The likelihood that this will happen is a matter of opportunity and probability. There is no need to panic but to be better prepared."

WHO - World Health Organization v svojem dokumentu priporoča zdravljenje gripe z zdravilom Tamiflu. (link) V pdf dokumentu poiščite besedo "tamiflu".

Izsek: "Following clinical review, if a culler is suspected of suffering from influenza A/H5 he or she should be investigated and managed for influenza A/H5 according to locally established protocols. A course of oseltamivir phosphate (brand name Tamiflu) 75 mg capsules should be started immediately and continued twice daily for 5 days. To be most effective, the course should begin within 48 hours of illness onset."
